The Mayor of Famalicão, Mário Passos, took advantage of his participation in the opening session of the 32nd Northern Region General and Family Medicine Internship Meeting to reaffirm, before hundreds of health professionals, the president of the Portuguese Medical Association and the Executive Board of the National Health Service, that the Famalicão municipal executive will spare no effort in the fight for more and better healthcare in the municipality.
This morning, at the opening of the meeting that runs until Friday at Casa das Artes, the mayor of Famalicão once again called for attention to the urgent need to refurbish, expand and modernise the Famalicão Hospital, while also giving his assurance that the local authority will continue to invest in improving primary healthcare, recalling the various investments that are underway for the construction/renovation of seven family health units in the municipality.
‘In Vila Nova de Famalicão, we are proud to put the health and quality of life of our fellow citizens at the centre of our actions,’ added the mayor, also praising the various municipal projects that promote quality of life and the importance of public policies that promote mental, physical and social well-being.
