The Casa das Artes de Famalicão continues to promote Baú dos Segredos, a theatre workshop for children and young people aged 8 to 25, which already has a long tradition.
From October until the end of July 2026, another edition of the workshop will take place, with 90-minute classes twice a week, between 19h00 and 20h30, in the municipal theatre's rehearsal room.
Baú dos Segredos is divided into two classes: Class A, for ages 8 to 14, on Mondays and Thursdays. Class B, for ages 15 to 25, on Tuesdays and Fridays.
The training is led by teachers Ana J. Regueiras and Tiago Regueiras, and may be complemented by guest teachers, depending on the areas to be worked on at each time of the year.
Four training modules are planned. The first, Theatre Workshop, with an introduction to acting through dramatic games, ensemble work and improvisation. The second module is on spoken voice/text, with work on monologues and dialogues. The third is on movement/physical theatre, learning about the relationship between the body and space: Laban and Viewpoints techniques, Contact Improvisation. The fourth module is the Final Production, which will be decided according to the number of students and the type of work done throughout the workshop.
Applications can be made by email to casadasartes@famalicao.pt or in person during normal opening hours at the Casa das Artes de Famalicão, at the ticket office.
Please note that commitment to the project is essential, as the studio's attendance policy stipulates that after five unjustified absences, the managers of Baú dos Segredos and Casa das Artes reserve the right to terminate the student's participation in the studio and/or performances.
