Actress Rita Blanco and doctor and researcher Manuel Sobrinho Simões are the guests at the first session of the "Fitas de Animatógrafo in São Miguel de Seide" initiative, which brings a group of guests, personalities from Portuguese public life, to the Camillian Studies Centre in Vila Nova de Famalicão to present a film and promote informal reflection and debate on the plurality of readings, meanings and truths that cinema arouses in the public.
The first session takes place this Friday, 15 September, at 9.30pm, with the screening of João Canijo's "Fátima", a film that portrays the experiences, challenges and concerns of 11 women who, driven by faith, make the pilgrimage from Vinhais, in Trás-os-Montes, to the Sanctuary of Fátima.
Rita Blanco is one of the protagonists of the journey and was invited by doctor and renowned researcher Manuel Sobrinho Simões to present the film.
"Fitas de Animatógrafo in S. Miguel de Seide" is an initiative promoted by Famalicão City Council through the Camilo House-Museum, with free admission. Those interested in watching the film should book their tickets in advance by emailing geral@camilocastelobranco.org or calling to the number 252 309 750.
