On 20 November, the festival will dedicate an evening to the seventh art, in partnership with Cineclube de Joane, starting at 9:45 p.m. Three films will be screened: ‘Muqaddimah Li-Nihayat Jidal (Introduction to the End of an Argument)’ (1990), by Jayce Salloum and Elia Suleiman; ‘Film advertisement for the film Drôles de Guerres’ (2023), by Jean-Luc Godard, in collaboration with Jean-Paul Battaggia, Fabrice Aragno, and Nicole Brenez; and ‘C'est Pas Moi - It's Not Me’ (2024), by Leos Carax.

The Arnoso Monastery will also be part of the BINNAR programme, hosting an oriental-inspired performance entitled ‘Gaman (我慢)’, presented by a string quartet composed of students from the Conservatory of Music, Theatre and Dance of Vila do Conde and the Professional School of Music of Espinho. The performance will take place on 23 November at 18h00, featuring Sofia Igreja (1st violin), Mafalda Martins (2nd violin), Marta Monteiro (viola) and Inês Alheiro (cello), with composition by Eduardo Patriarca.
The programme ends with ‘Hyperfriction-Drum’, a performance and masterclass by musician and percussionist Luam Clarindo, which will take place at OFICINA – INA Professional School on 27 November, aimed at students of the institution.
The BINNAR Festival, created and produced by the BINNAR platform, with the support of the City Council, has been held in Vila Nova de Famalicão since 2016 and, over the years, has brought together various partnerships and explored different spaces in the municipality - museums, galleries, foundations and schools - presenting a programme that brings together established and emerging artists.
All BINNAR events and activities are free of charge.
