The new edition of the Vila Nova de Famalicão Municipal Bulletin, which started being distributed today, is now available for consultation.
The new issue of the publication published by the City Council lists a number of structural investments that are currently on the ground throughout the municipality.
“Over the last few years, the municipal executive I lead has worked daily to bring even more quality of life to Vila Nova de Famalicão. Our aim is to make the people of Famalicão proud of the land that gave birth to them and welcomes them, but above all happy to live, work and study here. Happy to know that Famalicão renews their desire to be here at every step, but also the certainty that this is “The Place” for them to establish their personal and professional lives,” writes Mayor Mário Passos in the opening message of the new Municipal Bulletin.
“This is the reason that drives us and makes us build the pillars of our future with effort, dedication and vision,” he adds.
A highlight is the historic investment in the parishes. Since 2022, more than 50 million euros have been earmarked for the development of famalicense parishes, for the construction of new community spaces, new green parks, the completion of the water network and increased coverage of the sanitation network, safer roads with better conditions for both motorists and pedestrians, among others.
The most recent edition of the Municipal Bulletin also highlights the investments made in Health, namely the more than 13 million euros directed towards improving primary health care; in Education, with a series of works on the ground to improve the school park; in Mobility, with the start-up of Mobiave, and in Housing, with the construction of new homes for affordable rent.
The cultural and sporting dynamics are also worthy of note throughout the 72 pages of the Bulletin, as well as the future Famalicão Student Residence - the Vila - which opens its doors on July 9, City Day.
“It's no coincidence that Vila Nova de Famalicão is considered one of the most vibrant municipalities in the country. And this new issue of the Municipal Bulletin shows us precisely that a solid present and future are not born by chance. They are projected and built daily and collectively,” writes Mário Passos.
