The good weather has arrived, bringing with it the chance to enjoy the outdoors. The municipal programme ‘Move-Te’ will once again get Famalicenses ‘moving’, with nearly 200 free classes for all ages in the parks and parishes of the municipality of Vila Nova de Famalicão, between 14 June and 11 July.

This year's novelty will be the ‘Cycling Marathon’, which marks the start of the initiative, where three hundred participants are expected.
The activity takes place on 14 June at Praça D. Maria II (Famalicão), starting at 8pm, and those interested can sign up, free of charge, directly at one of the 14 participating gyms: Fitness Up (Famalicão and Joane), Academia LusoSpa LusoFitness (Lousado), BBOX & Gym (Bairro), Eugénio Health & SPA Club (Calendário), Best Gym (Calendário), Rock Fitness (Joane), Two Gym (Castelões), Ginásio Status Health and Fitness Club (Famalicão), Focus Fitness (Santo Tirso), Ginásio Bombeiros de Famalicão, Corpo Perfeito Prevé (Vermoim and Guimarães) and Clube de Cultura e Desporto de Ribeirão.

Until 11 July, the municipal ‘Move-te’ programme, promoted by the Vila Nova de Famalicão Municipality in partnership with more than 60 local institutions - including parish councils, associations and gyms in the municipality - includes a total of 195 classes, lasting 60 minutes and with different timetables, led by municipal sports teachers and technicians and local gyms that are associated with the initiative.

With an almost daily programme, famalicenses can count on nearly two hundred free outdoor classes in 26 disciplines, such as functional training, pilates, localisation, crossfit, cycling, kids dance, obstacle course, capoeira and much more.

This year, ‘Move-Te’ will once again include a ‘Night Walk’, which will take place on 4 July at 21h00, starting at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Lemenhe, followed by a 10-kilometre route of medium difficulty. It is subject to prior registration, using a form available soon on the Famalicão Desportivo portal.
