Enjoy the freshness and lightness of Famalicão's
Vinho Verde wines with the Camillian landscape as a backdrop. The proposal comes from the Vila Nova de Famalicão City Council, which is
promoting a tasting of vinho verde from Famalicão producers next Monday 14th July with half a hundred professionals from the municipality's restaurants, accommodation and wine cellars.
The initiative, promoted by Famalicão Made IN, will take place at the Camillian Studies Centre from 16h00 and is open to the media.
Among the producers present will be Adega Casa da Torre - BASLOP, Casa Agrícola de Compostela, Castro - Sociedade Agropecuária de Cavalões, Frutivinhos - Cooperativa Agrícola de Vila Nova de Famalicão, Quinta das Pirâmides, Morgado de Outiz, Sociedade Agrícola Casal de Ventozela and VineVinu.
The presentation of the wines by the producers and the tastings are scheduled for 17h00. Beforehand, from 16h00, the initiative will feature speeches by the town council's Councillor for the Economy, Augusto Lima, but also by the chef and owner of Restaurante Ferrugem, Renato Cunha, and journalist and wine critic José Augusto Moreira, who will enrich this moment of sharing and appreciation of Famalicão's wines.
It should be noted that the natural conditions of Vila Nova de Famalicão, located in the Vinho Verde Demarcated Region, allow for the production of excellent Vinho Verde wines. The granite soils, mild climate and average rainfall make it possible to maximise the characteristics of Vinho Verde, such as lightness and freshness.
