The 33rd Lisbon Tourism Fair (BTL) started this Wednesday, March 1, and Vila Nova de Famalicão is present in the largest fair of the Tourism sector in Portugal.
Integrated in the institutional space of the Porto e Norte de Portugal, the municipality promotes the county as a tourist destination, presenting the territorial capital gains in the cultural, literary, industrial, gastronomy, sports and natural areas.
In addition to the usual work of disclosure, enhancement and promotion of the territory with the main players of the sector, the municipality will also offer visitors the opportunity to know and taste some of the best delicacies produced in the county of Famalicão, with emphasis on green wines, cheeses and sausages.
For tomorrow, a showcooking is scheduled, coordinated by Chef Renato Cunha, from the restaurant Ferrugem, with the tasting of a Camillian recipe considered a strategic product for the municipality - the Galinha Mourisca.
The famalicense municipality, together with all the municipalities that are part of Minho Innovation Consortium, will also present the new tools and strategies for promotion and enhancement of the Minho region within the "Amar o Minho" programme. The intention is to highlight the differentiating and identifying elements of the region, especially in the areas of nature, heritage, culture and enogastronomy (set of knowledge and practices aimed at the harmonious pairing of wine and food in a meal).
It should also be noted that, under the product "Industrial Tourism", and in partnership with Turismo de Portugal, the National Agenda "Discovering Industrial Tourism" will also be presented, consisting of a programme of national-level activities, between 10 and 16 April, which will provide contact with products and production processes that identify the activity and the vast and rich industrial heritage existing in Famalicão.
The BTL will be held until Sunday, March 5, in Lisbon. During the first days, it is only aimed at professionals, opening its doors to the public during the weekend, on March 3, 4 and 5.
