The One-Stop Service Desk (BUA) of the Vila Nova de Famalicão City Council celebrates 10 years of serving the people of Famalicão today.
Created in 2015 to centralise all public services in the municipality of Famalicão and implement a new philosophy in the relationship between the local authority and residents through closer, more functional, faster and more convenient service, the One-Stop Service Desk is now the main gateway for citizens to municipal services.
With the ongoing modernisation and digitisation of processes, the BUA continues to be sought after for the resolution of countless issues. In recent years, it has recorded an average of 25,000 visits per year.
The experience reported by those who frequently use the services is positive. This is the case of Mafalda Pereira, a court clerk. ‘It has brought me many advantages because, as everything is concentrated in one place, it is easier to deal with all the matters I have to deal with here at the Town Hall.’
Feliz Pereira, a businessperson, also shares this view. ‘The experience over the years has been splendid. Whenever a need or problem arises, it gets resolved, and that is very important.’
The Mayor, Mário Passos, and all the service’s employees marked the first decade of the BUA this morning.
‘Today we mark a decade characterised by proximity, efficiency and the commitment of the municipality and its employees to better serve the people of Famalicão,’ said the mayor, who at the time of the BUA's inauguration was the councillor responsible for Administrative Modernisation.
The mayor of Famalicão added that the municipality will continue to invest in digitisation and administrative modernisation in order to further facilitate procedures and processes in the relationship between the local authority and citizens.
It should be noted that the Single Service Desk of the Municipality of Vila Nova de Famalicão is located in the Town Hall. It is open to the public from Monday to Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. (Treasury services close at 4.30 p.m.), and on Fridays, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
