"When wearing a pair of Salsa Jeans, the client knows that he is wearing a unique piece, the result of a long creation and production process that distinguishes us in the consumer's choice". This differentiation continues to be the brand image of Salsa Jeans, which was born in Ribeirão, in 1994, and is now present in over 40 countries "with investments to grow the brand in current markets, Spain, France and the Middle East, but also to replicate the success story of Salsa Jeans in other countries, such as Ireland, where we will open the first shop next month, to be followed by Benelux and the Nordic countries, where we are analysing business opportunities" pointed Hugo Martins, CEO of Salsa Jeans.
The company received this Thursday, April 27, the visit of Mayor Mário Passos, as part of the Famalicão Created IN Route.
"I verified an idea that we have long been stressing: the entrepreneurial ecosystem, with the technological centres, the universities and the public policies we have in place are promoters of innovation and creativity, in a differentiated way and for much better, which is reflected in the human capital that now exists in many of the companies in the municipality of Famalicão, of which Salsa Jeans is an excellent example," said the mayor.
"We are persistent in the details and demanding in quality and if we deconstruct a Salsa pant we will find a lot of engineering, which is applied in the fabric, in the adjustments, in the colour or in the number of washes of a product, in a search for perfection, because what we really sell is the confidence that the client feels when wearing our jeans" points out João Martins, administrator of the company that reinforces the importance of being inserted in the "textile cluster of Vale do Ave, in a network of proximity with research and product development, but also partners with high know-how that allow us to do different and better than the competitors".
Salsa Jeans will invest 7 million euros in the transformation of the dyeing and laundry industrial unit, "much of it in equipment that will allow us to reduce water consumption", preparing this unit for the new challenges of the industry and the commitments of climate transition, point out the group's administrators.
"The environmental sustainability is very present here and in this visit we also realize a great investment with the employees, to do more and better, in a brand that is already a reference worldwide and that makes us very proud to continue to make this investment in Famalicão", said Mário Passos.
Salsa Jeans produces about one million trousers per year, for 44 countries and more than 200 shops around the world.
