The Mayor of Vila Nova de Famalicão, Mário Passos, officially opened the refurbished Aldeia Nova playground in Brufe on Wednesday 25 March. The project, which represents a municipal investment of €78,000, brings greater comfort and safety to this space for play and socialising, designed for the children and families of the parish.
The new Aldeia Nova playground is now equipped with a variety of play equipment tailored to different age groups, ensuring safety and fun for the little ones. In addition, a social area has been created, aimed at fostering intergenerational interaction and strengthening community spirit.
“We must continue to invest in and value public spaces such as this one, which, as well as being a place for plenty of play, is also a meeting point for families, promoting social interaction, well-being and inclusion,” emphasised the Mayor, Mário Passos, who marked the occasion alongside the Councillor for Parishes, Augusto Lima, the Parish Council Chairman, Carlos Gomes, and the joy and enthusiasm of the children from the Lagarinhos and Carvalho Primary Schools and the Brufe Nursery School.
It should be noted that, since 2022, Famalicão Municipal Council has already invested around one million euros in the construction, refurbishment and maintenance of playgrounds across the municipality.
