"It was a fantastic afternoon to the sound of these kings and queens from Famalicense," commented the Mayor, Mário Passos, who attended the senior carols accompanied by the Councillor for Sport, Pedro Oliveira.

The mayor was pleased with the success of the initiative and emphasised the "intergenerational component of the Singing of the Kings, a tradition cherished by kids and adults alike".

It should be noted that, in addition to the presence of nearly half a thousand senior citizens from 28 social institutions in the municipality, the event also had an audience of more than three hundred citizens, who enthusiastically applauded the performances of the senior citizens of Famalicense.
