Directed by Chinese filmmaker Wang Bing, this three-part documentary portrays the hardships faced by young people from various rural areas of China who move to Zhili, 150 kilometres from Beijing, to work in textile factories. The second part delves deeper into the challenges faced by these workers, who struggle to survive on low wages and, often, in almost inhumane conditions. In the textile factories, the stories become more dramatic as time goes on.
