TRIBUTE TO THE COMPOSERS BERNARDO SASSETTI AND ENNIO MORRICONE AND TO THE ACTRESS MARIA JOÃO BASTOS
Casa da Juventude and Camillian Studies Centre - 21h30 and 15h00

This edition of the festival is composed of 8 categories in competition, a training cycle, an exhibition dedicated to the films in competition, a special session focusing on the work of a Portuguese film producer, a tribute to Portuguese actress Maria João Bastos and a tribute to composers Bernardo Sassetti and Ennio Morricone. One of the highlights of this year's programme is the Talk & Showcase by Capitão Fausto. The jury, presided by scriptwriter Tiago R. Santos and composed by Leonor Teles (director), Benedita Pereira (actress), Tiago Alves (journalist), Pedro Oliveira (journalist), Ana Markl (scriptwriter, television presenter) and Filipe Rufatto (director) will be responsible for the decision to award the Joaquim de Almeida Grand Prize, worth 2500 euros, the Secondary Schools Award, Best Documentary both worth EUR 750, the Best Short Animation Prize worth EUR 600 and the Prizes for Best Acting and Best Screenplay both worth EUR 250. The public will also be able to vote for their favourite film, which will receive a cash prize of €350.

Organised by the portfolio of Youth of City Council of Vila Nova de Famalicão, the Ymotion Festival will take place between 8 and 13 of November of 2021, in the Casa da Juventude, Camillian Studies Centre, Castro Alves Foundation and, given the current circumstances, in a digital format.
