The 6th edition of the JOF internship runs from 9 to 14 September 2024. This is a short-term symphony orchestra internship aimed at 87 young instrumentalists with pre-university training or living in Vila Nova de Famalicão and organised by the municipality.
The JOF Internship seeks to respond to the unique characteristics of the area, namely the existence of a strong and dynamic cultural ecosystem associated with specialised artistic education and professional music teaching, made up of the following entities: CCM - Centro de Cultura Musical, ArtEduca - Conservatório de Música de Vila Nova de Famalicão and ARTAVE - Escola Profissional Artística do Vale do Ave.
Knowing that many of these students from the municipality of Famalicão have gone on to study and professional careers in other institutions in Portugal and throughout Europe, the JOF Internship seeks to value these young musicians, who are in training and professional activity in Portugal and abroad, promoting intercultural dialogue between Famalicão and its Diaspora, establishing bridges between the artistic education provided in the region and higher education.
