When Laura disappears with no apparent explanation, Rafael and Ezequiel, two men whose only commonality is that they are both in love with her, join forces to find her. Over the course of 12 chapters, which divide the four hours of this film, the viewer follows her story, while at the same time following Rafael and Ezequiel's relentless search through the intricacies of the Argentinian town of Trenque Lauquen. A mixture of magical realism, thriller and romance, "Trenque Lauquen" premiered in the Orizzonti section of the Venice Film Festival and is the fourth feature film by Argentinian director Laura Citarella, who wrote the script in partnership with Laura Paredes, who plays the main character.
