Fanny and Jean seem to have everything it takes to be happy: they are successful professionally, live in one of the best neighbourhoods in Paris and have a very compatible and companionable bond. Until the day she casually bumps into Alain, a French high school classmate from New York, whom she had long lost track of. He's charming and makes a point of telling her how much he loved her in his youth. This will shake the seemingly unshakeable foundations of her marriage to Jean.
