Fanny and Jean seem to have everything it takes to be happy: they are successful professionally, live in one of the best neighbourhoods in Paris and have a very compatible and companionable bond. Until the day she casually bumps into Alain, a French high school classmate from New York, whom she had long lost track of. He's charming and makes a point of telling her how much he loved her in his youth. This will shake the seemingly unshakeable foundations of her marriage to Jean. Fanny's encounters with Alain are clandestinely repeated until they find themselves losing control of their own lives.
