"Sing me how it was" is an artistic action project with the community of Famalicense that aims to revive the primordial musical memories of the individual and collective experience of children and their families. The project was developed with primary school students from the Camilo Castelo Branco School Group, the D. Maria II School Group and the D. Sancho I School Group. In the first phase, the musical memories of the students and their families were collected, thus building the starting point for the exploratory sessions. These sessions took place in March, with the participation of musicians, students and families. The artistic creation thus arose from the spontaneity and joy of sharing between everyone (children and their families and musicians), with the final show evoking the story of all those who dared to share their musical memories.

This project is funded by Famalicão City Council's Há Cultura 2023-2025 Programme, in co-production with the Narciso Ferreira Theatre, and aims to build annual artistic co-creation projects between the entities of the Sobre o Palco Performing Arts Platform and the local community.
