Riba de Ave | Narciso Ferreira Theatre - 21h30

Admission: 2 euros. Students, Cultural Quadrilateral Card and Seniors (aged 65 and over): 1 euro | Rating: M/14 | Running time: 60 min

As part of the strategic partnership with the Performing Arts Network of Famalicão "SOBRE O PALCO", the TNF presents "Province", the new creation of the Momento Artistas Independentes structure, whose starting point is a search for identity by creator Diogo Freitas through the territory of Minho, in homage to the women of Minho and a re-reading of the stories - Maria da Fonte and Antígona, rethinking the territory where he was created and its traditions. He will be joined by Filipe Gouveia in the dramaturgy. Together they will perform an absurdist, comic show that takes a light-hearted approach to the traditions of the Minho region, taking the audience on a playful journey in an intimate, 360º arena format.

"A tribute to Minho and the Women of Minho. She was Ava, Antígona, Ângela, Ana, Angelina, Andreia and perhaps even Antónia. She was from Minho and Thebes, and Minho was hers too. With her, a thousand memories, but only one brain and voice to support them. She has a thousand lives and keeps a thousand more so that they are never forgotten.  She's Minhota, that's for sure. If she stretches her body, she has the Minho in her head, the Coura in her eyes, the Lima in her mouth and the Ave in her arms. It doesn't matter where the Douro is. She digs. For what purpose? To forget? To remember? Will she succeed? How do we know it's deep enough? - Our legacy and the memory of who we were. Does human history still have room for each of us?"
