Six years on from ‘Parasites’, which won the Oscar for Best Film in 2019, South Korean director Bong Joon-ho is back with this adaptation of Mickey7, Edward Ashton's science fiction novel. Robert Pattinson stars as a man who, with no money, becomes a cloned and expendable labourer on a space colony, where he performs very dangerous tasks that will surely lead to his death, only to be regenerated after he dies. But one day, one of these clones doesn't die and there is already a replacement, and there can only be one clone at a time, so the two become persecuted and have to team up to fight the whole system. After ‘Snowpiercer’ and ‘Okja’, this is the director's third film, mostly in English, and it premiered at the Berlin Film Festival in February 2025.
