"We speak of a line, perhaps as a guiding thread. However, it undoubtedly carries meaning. The notion of a line is clearly something that is immediately inscribed in a common sense, here in Angelina's intention; something is superimposed on the context covered by common sense.
Rather than affirming an intention that is closed in on itself, we believe that other lines of thought can be proposed to this intention. The line as a visual, aesthetic and human reference. Being in its verticality and the horizon as plains in the aesthetics of colour and an unconscious but full resting gaze. Life overtakes death because it is realised and the latter because it is inscribed in the former, only in individuality. Let's rest our gaze and its greater meaning on these works and their power as art." Text by José Soares.
Angelina was born in Portugal (V. N. Famalicão) and soon became an emigrant in France, thus sharing her origins. She has a degree in Fine Arts - Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto, which preceded her fruitful professional activity in the areas of fashion and decoration. She has exhibited in various national and international galleries and institutions, including the Photography Prize: "Visions entorn de l'aigua" from the Fundació Guasch Coranty, Barcelona, an Honourable Mention at the XXVII Salão de Primavera, the Rainha Isabel de Bragança Prize at the Casino Estoril Gallery in 2014 and an Honourable Mention in the Oral Health competition as part of the FMDUP Arts Week 2013.
