She arrives from one of the ends of the world barefoot, with a few painted fingernails. Plays guitar, but not much. Plays the piano, but not much. Likes writing more than talking, and singing more than writing. The girl is not the project of the singer-songwriter from Setubal, Cátia Mazari Oliveira. Without artifice, she sings a deliciously interventive reflection on our times, making a current, genuine and sweet approach. In Rua das Marimbas Nº 7, debut album with production by Sérgio Mendes, she counts with an incredible collective: Pedro Nobre, Diogo Sousa, Ana Du Carmo, Carolina Canto-de-Pardal, Frankley, Fernando Molina. With influences that range from Portuguese rap to American folk, Brazilian popular music and British pop, The girl doesn't sing what hurts on the inside, what laughs on the outside, what the days bring. It's them, the days and the life that is poured into them, what inspires her: delicacy, relationships, dreams, the respect for who is and the lack of it, love.
