25th April in Jazz
Thu 25 Apr
Paços do Concelho - 16h00

Free entry | Organisation: Vila Nova de Famalicão Town Hall | With Eixo do Jazz Ensemble

Music was part of the 25th of April, the revolution began with the broadcast of two songs that were the passwords for the start of the revolution. From the compilation of these and other intervention songs, Eixo do Jazz invited a great Portuguese jazz musician, António Pedro Neves (AP), to direct the Eixo do Jazz Ensemble and arrange selected songs. There will be an introduction by António Sousa, followed by a tribute to Ivo Machado, with his participation on stage, accompanied on guitar by Tiago Machado, also from Famalicense and Chairman of the Board of the Jazz Axis Assembly. This concert will be "illustrated" by the projection of a video created from films of the April 1974 revolution in the country and in Famalicão.
