29-05-2023
The Museum Network of Vila Nova de Famalicão received an honourable distinction in the 'Editions' category at the APOM Awards, attributed by the Portuguese Museology Association, with volume 2 of the collection 'Being and Doing Museum in the 21st Century', launched in 2022, under the title 'Defining a Path... Where We Are, Where We Are Going'. The award ceremony took place last Friday, 26 May, at the Museu do Ar, in Pêro Pinheiro, Sintra.

In the words of the town councillor for Culture, Pedro Oliveira, who received the APOM distinction on behalf of the Town Council of Vila Nova de Famalicão, it is a recognition that "values and rewards the work that we have been doing for 10 years in Vila Nova de Famalicão, through our Museum Network (...) distinctions such as this, attest and validate the good work that has been done in Vila Nova de Famalicão, concerning museums".

The Cupertino de Miranda Foundation, which includes the Portuguese Surrealism Centre, was also distinguished in this ceremony with a prize in the 'Institutions' category.
