With a successful career, conductor Thibaut Desormeaux was a fulfilled and happy man until he was diagnosed with leukaemia. During tests to find a compatible bone marrow donor, he discovers that he has been adopted and that he has a brother called Jimmy who lives in the north of France. Jimmy is a modest and somewhat rough factory worker who, as a hobby, plays the trombone in a philharmonic band. They are clearly different, except for one thing: their love of music. When the conductor of Jimmy's band quits without saying goodbye, Thibaut agrees to lead them. This is how the two brothers become great friends and find themselves making up for lost time. Follow the Band! was a hit with audiences in France and was nominated for eight Césars, the most important awards in French cinema.
