This travelling exhibition was the result of the project "Networked: Museums of Vila Nova de Famalicão", by the Cupertino Miranda Foundation, winner of the "Networked Programming" initiative promoted by Vila Nova de Famalicão City Council in 2016. The project was designed with the creation of a standardised product in mind, with accessible, attractive and captivating information on all the museums and collections of the Famalicão Museum Network, bringing knowledge of Famalicão's cultural heritage to all audiences at municipal and national level. Here the image will transmit the essence of the museological units; it will be the protagonist in the promotion of our heritage. Original and unpublished images designed specifically for this project by national illustrators. The thirteen artists invited to illustrate the thirteen museological units that at the time integrated the Museum Network of Vila Nova de Famalicão and from which resulted this exhibition, today itinerant, and a book, where the artists saw their work published. The invited artists are illustrators already known in the national artistic panorama: Alberto Faria, Alex Gozblau, André Carrilho, Bárbara R., Cátia Vidinhas, Cristina Sampaio, Esgar Acelerado, Mantraste, Mariana - A Miserável, Marta Madureira, Nicolau, Patrícia Figueiredo and Tiago Manuel. The main goal of this project is to divulge Famalicão's Museums at a municipal and national level in an original way, achieving an approach to different publics through illustration.
