After a tragedy that robbed her of the will to live, Rita decides to return to Africa, to the country where she grew up, and to meet Sara, her mother. While Sara lives the last days of her life trying to find meaning for her past, Rita decides to investigate the path of Yvone Kane, a former guerrilla and political activist whose courage and determination marked several generations and whose death was never clarified. However, despite their efforts, neither of the two seems to achieve the redemption they need... A film written and directed by Margarida Cardoso ("The Murmuring Coast"), starring Irene Ravache, Beatriz Batarda, Gonçalo Waddington, Mina Andala and Samuel Malumbe in the main roles.
A Portuguese film directed by Margarida Cardoso. After her daughter's death, Rita returns to the African country of her childhood to investigate the death of Yvone Kane, a former political activist and guerrilla fighter. There, she becomes embroiled in a journey into the past of a land haunted by war and evil.
