The Cidnay Vale do Ave Festival is an international artistic project promoting musical excellence, which brings together renowned masters and talented young musicians every year. Under the artistic direction of João Álvares Abreu, since 2021 it has attracted big names in classical music to the Vale do Ave, such as Mischa Maisky, Nobuko Imai, Eszter Haffner, Máté Szűcs, László Fenyő and Pedro Carneiro. Now in its fifth edition, it features Noa Wildschut, João Barradas, Torleif Thednéen, Agostinho Sequeira, MAAT Saxophone Quartet, Luís Magalhães, among several other musicians and groups. For the Narciso Ferreira Theatre, it offers a musical journey through the universe of children with the Artavinhos Symphony Orchestra, made up of young musicians from ARTAVE, conducted by maestro Henrique Constância. The Toy Symphony - a concert with commentary for the whole family!

As part of its strategic partnership with the Famalicão Performing Arts Platform ‘SOBRE O PALCO’, in 2023, the Casa das Artes de Famalicão/Teatro Narciso Ferreira began a co-production partnership with the Cidnay Vale do Ave Festival, promoted by FAMART - Plataforma Artística, with the support of the Municipalities of Vila Nova de Famalicão and Santo Tirso.
