Yevgeniya was abandoned by her husband and raised Sasha alone, who became her only reason for living. But now that he is a teenager with a mind of his own, he feels a strong desire to visit his father, who lives on the other side of the country. Understanding his reasons, she lets him spend part of the summer with his father. But when the boy returns, she senses that he is different. Concerned about her son's change in behaviour, Yevgeniya reads a letter from her ex-husband and discovers that the boy is planning to move permanently to his father's house.
