Ricardo is considered, since the age of 21, not only a "hope" but someone who is having an impact in the present. The practiced jazz is the "mainstream", with no concern for innovation and much less for experimentation, but such is the freshness, energy, delivery and personality given to the themes, "standards" included, that the Ricardo Toscano Quartet has won unanimous applause. In the frame of these, and supported by a rhythm section in permanent combustion, Toscano's alto flies with the nimbleness and agility of an eagle.
