With José Saramago's novel "All the Names" comes the idea of fusing music and theatricality in the form of danced chronicles. Transiting the universe of his characters, questioning their ethical position in the face of oppositions construction/deconstruction, truth/ lie and life/death, suggests to Pinillos the possibility of combining his language with that of other choreographers in Nuestro Nombres. He uses a proposal full of musical works, with the starting point in the romantic period accompanied by Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov, Liszt, Saint-Saëns or Schubert, until arriving to our days with Astor Piazzolla. From the man who falls in love with an unknown woman to the inevitable fate of a certain death, everything is present in Nuestros Nombres. Far from closing themselves in the present to talk about who we are or the times we live in, Filipa de Castro and Carlos Pinillos, accompanied by the Scherzo Trio, propose a work of an intimate character, demonstrating that the stylized aesthetics of classical dance continues to be a powerful element of communication when it comes to honestly portraying the essence of what being human has always represented.
