The first cycle of conferences around the theme of the railway in Vila Nova de Famalicão is a project that aims to give voice to a set of challenges facing Cultural Heritage in contemporary societies, in relation to memory and knowledge, social change, sustainability, management and the projection of the future. The Conferences aim to address the most relevant and pertinent issues facing railway heritage, between retrospectives and expectations, crossing the domains of Culture, Society, Education, Economy and Territory.

To support reflection and debate, the Conferences feature a range of speakers, involving technicians from the Municipality and external guests linked to cultural heritage management, academics, researchers and professionals from the cultural sector, with multiple approaches to the theme.
