October 2019. A few months before the finalisation of Brexit, a group of Portuguese immigrants are in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk County (UK). Poor and with few prospects for the future, they hope to have found the opportunity to change their lives. Tânia, also Portuguese, has been living there for several years and is married to an Englishman who owns a few hotels of dubious quality. Given her experience, she acts as an intermediary between her compatriots and the owners of the turkey factories in the area. However, her big dream is to get British citizenship and turn her husband's old hotels into a centre for the elderly. Premiered at the San Sebastian Film Festival, this is a drama about the difficulties faced by some Portuguese immigrants in England. The story is a kind of adaptation/continuation of the play with the same name also by Marco Martins.
