Earwig is 10 years old and was left in an orphanage as a baby. She loves living there, mostly because she has the uncanny ability to get everyone to do exactly what she wants. The last thing Earwig wishes for is to be adopted by the witch Bella Yaga...but for the first time in her life, her wish is not granted. Although contrite and sad to abandon her friends, she puts on her best face and forced smile and goes. After all, she has always wanted to learn magic! Nevertheless, Earwig will need all her ingenuity to, with the help of Bella Yaga's cat, manage to survive and above all to flourish.
