APOM - Portuguese Museology Association - has an ongoing initiative APOM in Movement, whose goal is to promote the sharing of experience and the creation of synergies among museum professionals, having as a starting point the projects distinguished by the APOM Awards in the last years.
The first edition took place last October 14th, in the city of Covilhã; the Meeting was repeated in Sesimbra, on November 11th, keeping the purpose of presenting the projects distinguished by APOM, in the region, throughout the last years and, simultaneously, underline the impact of that distinction in the museological institutions. Following the APOM in Movement programme, and considering the relevant participation of the Museums Network of Famalicão in the APOM Awards, Vila Nova de Famalicão Municipality will be a partner in the first edition of 2023.
Given the initiative's mobilisation capacity, a programme of guided tours to different museological facilities in the municipality will be developed simultaneously, thus constituting a privileged moment for the dissemination and promotion of Famalicão Museums.
