"It was only a dream". Normality returns quickly and sanity doesn't remain at risk, just turn the other way and snuggle back into your own soft, sweet-smelling conceptions. "Where have I been all this time? How many layers does a dream have? Is life just another one of those layers? What is death, then, if not an awakening?" 
Why ask these questions? The alarm in the morning faithfully reminds me to forget. But I don't forget, not all the time. And the only way out is to repeat: "It was only a dream. It's never just a dream."

Joana Couto and Leo Calvino began culminating their artistic visions in 2020, with an interest in blending their different areas of research: Leo Calvino (contemporary circus, performance magic) and Joana Couto (contemporary dance). Since then they have established partnerships in their personal projects, most notably the works "Inercia", "Sinto muito" and "If only this way about food". The work "Apneia" was the first co-creation between the two artists, co-produced by Teatro Municipal do Porto and Instável Centro Coreográfico. The show is scheduled to be performed in various parts of the country until 2024, starting on 10 February at the Narciso Ferreira Theatre / Casa das Artes in Famalicão.
