A man drives aimlessly, turning right, turning left, until his car gets stuck on a forest road. He gets out of the car and gets lost in the forest, under a dark, snowy sky. He almost dies of cold and exhaustion. Amid questions and hesitations, the man continues, lost in his thoughts, in images that bring back memories. A game between the past, present and future, which are experienced on the same plane, questioning what he sees, what is reality and what is a spectre. In the midst of this existentialism, the man sees a strange shining.

Sandra Barata Belo proposes to adapt this work by Jon Fosse, contrasting the existentialism and doubts that are very present in the text with a dynamic staging featuring dialogues that cross time, evoking and bringing in other characters, thus contributing to accentuating this strange place where times intersect, leaving the viewer free to form their own point of view, engaging in dialogue with the work.
In an aesthetic created with set designer Rui Francisco, he will bring the universe of fabrics to the stage: from piles of discarded clothes, fallen cloths and curtains, playing with shadows, transparencies, silhouettes and bringing the acrobatics of vertical fabrics to the stage. The soundscape will envelop this existentialism with acoustic and electric guitar chords that guitarist Rui Carvalho - Um Filho da Mãe knows so well how to compose.
