The celebration of World Children's Day in Vila Nova de Famalicão will take place on 3 and 4 June 2023 and promises a full program of activities in collaboration with various entities and institutions in the municipality. In the unique environment of Parque da Devesa, the activities will be diverse including workshops on creativity and artistic expressions, reading workshops, sports activities, musical moments, face painting, archaeology, inflatables and others that will provide over two days, joy and fun for families and the general public.

Candlelight Solidarity Concert - THE LIGHT OF HOPE
"Let's light the light of hope in children with cancer".

This will be a concert of solidarity, free admission, lighting with the light of candles a path of hope and dreams of many children and families.
The goal of the concert in addition to honoring all the cancer fighters, is to raise funds for the purchase of an arthromotor, a very important device in the recovery of children operated on bone tumors and physiotherapy treatments, and that currently does not exist in the IPO of Porto. This device costs around 5000 euros and to raise the necessary funds for its purchase, personalized candles with dreams written by the children of the IPO will be sold.
The concert will be accompanied by Professor Rui Mesquita with the Arteduca orchestra, and the voices of Maria Gil, Helena Fernandes and Daniel Fernandes.
