Cândida waters the flowers in an endless routine. In a circular movement.
She came to this flowerbed and doesn’t know how to get out.
She has forgotten. She doesn’t know if she has to go. If she has to stay.
If someone awaits for her. If it is waiting for someone.
In the meantime, she waters them. Admires their beauty. It is always the first time.
She's delighted with the flowerbed. Flooded. The dead flowers, in her eyes, are alive. Still she carries in her gaze a silent conversation with Death, as if she were hearing a secret.
Cândida, the name itself indicates, seems to us like that in the beginning as well as in the end.
