The Mayor of Vila Nova de Famalicão thanked yesterday "the daily contribution" of the families in the construction of the future of the municipality.
Mário Passos was this Tuesday, March 14, in Pedome, within the framework of the roadmap "Presidency of Proximity", where he had the opportunity to witness again the willingness of the Famalicense community to participate and contribute to the development and growth of the territory.
The visit of Mário Passos to Pedome took place in the company of the president of the Parish Council, José Alves, who took advantage of the presence of the mayor to convey the most pressing needs and the main projects for the future of the parish.
This is the case of the construction of a new junta headquarters, the enlargement of the cemetery and the rehabilitation of the Padre José Dias Sampaio Square.
The itinerary of this Tuesday ended with the usual meeting with the living forces of the parish, with the collection of opinions and contributions of the pedomenses.
"In addition to the daily management challenges that each of the associations faces, in these meetings we always end up debating issues that are transversal to all parish communities. Current problems for which the Famalicenses are vigilant and for which help us to try to find alternatives and solutions", said Mário Passos, praising "the sense of community" of the Famalicenses.
It is recalled that the Presidency of Proximity program started in March last year, having already passed through about 31 parishes and parishes unions of the municipality, in a philosophy of presidency 'beyond doors', in which Mário Passos collects opinions and contributions from the population, in an open and inclusive municipal management exercise.
