‘Open Days at Schools’ help students in Famalicão decide on their educational path - Portal do Município de Vila Nova de Famalicão - Portugal

Students in Famalicão will have the opportunity to get to know secondary and vocational schools, as well as post-secondary and higher education institutions, in the Local Education and Training Network of Vila Nova de Famalicão through “Open Days at Schools”, an initiative promoted by the Municipality of Vila Nova de Famalicão through the educational project “Valoriza-Te” (Value Yourself).

The “Open Days at Schools” will take place between 21 March and 30 May, with visits to the nine educational institutions of the Vila Nova de Famalicão Education and Training Network, and are aimed at students attending the 9th year or secondary education.

Interested students should enquire at their school or contact the organisers directly - Padre Benjamim Salgado School Group, Lusíada University of Famalicão, CESPU - Vale do Ave Higher School of Health (ESSVA), Forave, Didáxis Riba de Ave, Oficina Professional School, CENFIM, Nun'Álvres Institute (INA) and ACE Famalicão.

During the visits, young people will be able to get to know the schools in the Famalicão local authority's partner network through guided tours of the facilities, laboratories and workshops, as well as talk to teachers and students from the institution (networking) and find out about the training available and the career opportunities covered.

It should be noted that on 10, 11 and 12 March, the Secondary Education Fair will take place, promoted by the Municipality of Famalicão and aimed at 9th grade students. It will bring together, at the Famalicão IN Hub, in Vale São Cosme, different educational institutions, which will present a range of 39 courses (scientific-humanistic and professional) in areas ranging from Arts and Design to Metalworking Technologies, IT, Health and Management Support.
