The municipality of Vila Nova de Famalicão will offer vouchers worth 20 and 10 euros to 1st cycle students in levels A, B and C for the purchase of school supplies and activity books for Portuguese, Maths and Environmental Studies for students in the 1st and 2nd years of schooling, and the English activity booklet for students in the 3rd year.

There is an investment of around 118 thousand euros, in a measure that covers almost 2 thousand students and that begins to be implemented next Monday, 7 August, with the sending of the codes for collecting the activity books, which will be followed, from 14 August, by the sending of the voucher codes corresponding to the value of the offer for the purchase of school supplies.

"It is an investment in education and in the future of Famalicão, which every year seeks to provide better conditions for its students, in a support that we know is important for families, who in this back-to-school period have increased burdens", says, by the way, the mayor Mário Passos.

This "gift voucher" for school supplies is intended for 1st cycle pupils enrolled in public schools in Famalicão. Vouchers of 20 euros will be awarded to students benefiting from levels A and B and those of 10 euros to students benefiting from level C. 

To benefit from this support, parents must use the code that will be sent via SMS, during the month of September, to the contact that is inserted in the SIGA Platform, presenting it in any of the bookstores / paper stores in Vila Nova de Famalicão, and must be accompanied by the student's citizen card.
