The reconversion of the old Parish council into a Day Centre and the creation of a leisure area near the Perrelos Archaeological Station are some of the ambitions of the famalicense parish of Delães, which this week entered the list of parishes of the municipality already visited by the mayor under the Route of Proximity.
Mário Passos was this Tuesday, February 28, in Delães, where he heard the wishes and ambitions of the people from Delães.
The Mayor joined the ambition of the Bem-Me-Quer Association and the local executive to transform the old facilities of the Parish Council in a day care centre for the senior population of the parish. "It is a desire also shared by the Municipal Council that always looks favourably on the creation of new social responses", he said.
Mário Passos toured the area accompanied by the president of the Parish Council, Francisco Gonçalves.
The itinerary of the Mayor also included a passage near the Perrelos Archaeological Station, in a municipal land for which the elaboration of a project for the creation of a leisure space was requested.
Before the usual meeting with the community of the parish, Mário Passos also had the opportunity to visit the old school building of Paraíso and to listen to the wishes of the association installed there - Organismo Vivo - and to visit the Pavilion of Delães to see the result of the improvement works carried out last year by the municipality.
Remember that the program Presidency of Proximity started in March last year, having already passed by about 29 parishes and unions of parishes of the famalicense municipality, in a philosophy of presidency 'beyond doors', in which the mayor collects opinions and contributions of the population, in an exercise of open and inclusive municipal management.
