Los Angeles, USA. Henry (Adam Driver) is a famous stand-up comedian; Ann (Marion Cotillard) is a world-renowned opera singer. The two are in love and live happily. But when their first child is born, a girl they name Annette, their lives change radically. The opening film of the 74th edition of the Cannes Film Festival, this romantic musical is directed by cult filmmaker Leos Carax ("Boy Meets Girl, "Pola X", "Holy Motors") and has original music by Sparks, the band formed by brothers Ron and Russell Mael, who are also responsible for the script.
