Ana Pinhal was born in 1980 in Leça da Palmeira. From an early age music, as well as other arts, is part of her life, having been part of the musical group BoiteZuleika, among other projects. She had musical training and singing lessons with Ana Celeste Ferreira. Between 2007 and 2010, she studied Cante Flamenco at the Fundación Cristina Heeren, in Seville. In 2008, with Francisco Almeida (flamenco guitar), he started the Fado Violado project; releasing his first album "A Jangada de Pedra" in 2015. Alongside the Fado Violado project, Ana Pinhal was resident fadista at Casa da Mariquinhas and Taberna Real Fado in Porto, and integrates the group Fado in Porto, at Caves Calém, in Vila Nova de Gaia. She has performed live in Portugal, Spain, France, The Netherlands, Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary and India and is regarded as one of the rising new voices within Fado, having performed the opening of the Saison Croisée Portugal France at the Philarmonie de Paris, 11 February 2022.
