The exam season is just around the corner and the study rooms at Famalicão Bus Station are already working extended hours to welcome students from the municipality.
Until 2 February, the space, located on the upper floor of the Bus Station, will be open from Monday to Saturday, between 9:00 and 23:00, and on Sundays, between 10h00 and 19h00.
It should be noted that the two study rooms have capacity for around 130 seats, with a pantry area and toilets. The Bernardino Machado room is intended for individual study, while the Camilo Castelo Branco room will be used for collective study and work.
When the rooms were opened in May this year, Famalicense mayor Mário Passos pointed precisely to this exam season as the purpose of creating this space "properly equipped, with comfort and availability of hours to meet the needs of secondary and higher education students and to cope with the level of demand at these levels of study".
It should be noted that, in addition to the study rooms at the Bus Station, students from Famalicão can also prepare for the exam season at the Casa da Juventude - between 09h00 and 18h00 from Monday to Friday - and at the renovated Municipal Library - on Mondays between 14h00 and 19h30, Tuesdays to Fridays between 10h00 and 19h30 and Saturdays between 10h00 and 17h00.
It should also be noted that in order to access the Study Rooms at the Bus Station, students must fill in an enrolment form, which is available at the reception or at the Casa da Juventude. Once admitted, access is via a personal, non-transferable user card.
