"None of our machines are the same, because each of our clients has different needs". This is the starting point for every project of VLB, a company dedicated to the manufacture of cutting-edge equipment, incorporating technology 4.0, for the metalworking sector.
The Mayor, as part of the Famalicão Created IN Route, visited this Thursday the company, located in Mouquim since 2019, and which employs 88 workers. The new VLB unit was considered an Investment Project of Municipal Interest - Made 2IN, having obtained the support of the municipality through the granting of tax incentives. The investment volume was around 7 million euros.
"It is a company with great capacity and capability of the resources and technology involved, determining factors that are reflected in the accuracy of the final product, which differentiates VLB from other competitors in the market", Mário Passos began by pointing out.
The mayor also highlighted "the structure of the company itself, with young and entrepreneur staff, facing the future, in a strategic vision and a productive capacity that is a good example of what we want for the industry of the municipality and that we have tried to show in the scope of Created IN".
With a turnover of 12.5 million euros in the last year, the company has well founded expectations of growth "because all indicators point us in that direction, either by the business that we have already achieved or by the volume of orders that we have in our portfolio" says Vasco Barros, administrator of VLB.
"Since the beginning we have bet on a product with a high degree of technology, which is differentiating. The solutions that we present to our clients and the growing demand make us certain that we are on the right path for the future", he added. Vasco Barros gave the example: "today we have clients who come here to test and fine-tune the machine for final production and here at VLB we can personalise all the solutions they need, from the software to the mechanical construction itself".
Today VLB is a reference in the production of equipment for the automotive, aeronautical and furniture industries and in the traditional production of machines for tube and sheet metal transformation, such as tube benders, profiling machines, hydraulic presses, sheet metal cutting lines, used in different industries.
