St Martin's Day, celebrated on November 11, is being marked at the tables of Vila Nova de Famalicão's restaurants with chestnuts to accompany the rojões, in the "Dias à Mesa" dish that is suggested for those visiting the municipality between 9 and 12 November, in the various participating restaurants.
Rojões with chestnuts is a typical dish from the Minho region, with a long gastronomic tradition, made with meats and sausages, all with a characteristic seasoning that makes the dish intensely flavoured.
It's worth remembering that the "Dias à Mesa" initiative, promoted by the municipality, kicked off in 2019 with a set of proposals of the best regional flavours, combined with the unforgettable cultural experiences of the municipality.
Those who visit Famalicão between 9 and 12 November can enjoy a direct 10% discount at the restaurants and accommodation associated with the "Dias à Mesa".
