The deadline to apply for the short-term training course JOF - Jovem Orquestra de Famalicão, which will take place between 28 August and 2 September and will culminate with two concerts in a symphony orchestra, has been extended to 21 May. So, inscriptions are open until May 21st and should be submitted online at: https://www.famalicao.pt/jovemorquestrafamalicao.

JOF is formed by youngsters living or studying in Vila Nova de Famalicão who are instrumentalists with pre-university education. The annual internship is organised by the municipality through Casa das Artes de Famalicão and is directed by the conductor José Eduardo Gomes. The internship is open to a maximum number of 87 vacancies.

In order to validate the application, it is mandatory to attach to the enrolment form the respective proof of registration, referring to the situation of each instrumentalist at the time of enrolment.

Two concerts are already scheduled at Casa das Artes de Famalicão on September 1st (21h30) and September 2nd (18h00) with the performance of Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 5.
