The "Tango Nuevo" appears as a universal language associated to the modern, to the innovation and to the contemporaneity in contrast to the "Tango Viejo". The metamorphosis resides in the introduction of new elements in the harmonic texture, phrasing, in the rhythm, in the breathing and in the counterpoint performed between the instruments. The pianist Mauro Dilema and the accordionist Gonçalo Pescada present, as a duo, an eclectic programme around the roots of tango and its evolution until the present day.
